I didn't realise until I'd started reading that this was actually book 2 but it didn't matter because this is a complete book and I wasn't confused by any missing information for not having read the other one first.
Carlos was a loveable rouge and I connected with him immediately, I liked his character and I enjoyed seeing both sides to him.
Kiara was the girl I would want to be at her age, she wasn't timid or scared of being herself, she liked what she liked and stuff what anyone thought she wouldn't conform just to fit in.
The story of Carlos's 'gang issues' wasn't too intense so just added a little intrigue to the romance without overpowering the story of their relationship.
I loved it :)
