Having grown up on fairy tales full of angst but always ending with ‘they all lived happily ever after’, I did often wonder what happened next. David Meredith has gone that extra mile and given us the answers as he sees them. Snow White has grown old having spent many, many years at ‘Charming’s’ side, one day she wanders into her stepmothers old room and discovers the magical mirror. What she learns is that the mirror can only show you what is already inside you, and through a series of visions we get to experience Snow White’s life to present day.

I had fun reading this story, it followed the theme of a typical fairy tale with some very sad and dark times, but made all right with the good times and happy ending. It was interesting and had the requisite moral included.

I would like to see this become a series, to see the after story of some of my other favourite childhood stories like Belle and Cinderella.
